Choosing Your Domain
There are some considerations you’ll want to think about and a few places to ‘check’ before you decide on a domain. I can help you choose and purchase the domain for your business.
Email Addresses
If you’ve already registered your domain and are using that provider for email, you can keep all that as it is. You don’t have to host your website with them, I can sort that out for you.
Web Hosting
I provide affordable good quality website hosting on a sliding scale ranging from £150 – £200 per annum. I provide hosting for most small business websites for £180/year.
Thinking about a DIY website?
The DIY website options can sometimes be a good, cheap option for small businesses when they start. Remember though that with most of these, they are not as flexible in terms of functionality, or as good for Search Engine Optimisation as WordPress. Also your design will be tied into their ‘templates’ and system. It may be hard to move your content and design out into another system in the future if your business expands.
For not much more than your annual subscription to one of the DIY options, I can host your site.
In that scenario, I would help you build your website – and I can often work to your budget. I will help you get it online, and be there in the future for any questions you may have as your business develops.
